You need a wallet to interact with XRP Ledger. One of the easiest ways is to use Xumm app developed by XRPLLabs. Xumm is an app available for iOS and Android at this moment. I recommend to visit their home page and click in their legit links to download the app from each respective marketplace.

Once you have downloaded it, you will be asked to create a new account. Xumm will ask you to write down and save 8 rows of 6 digits each. I recommend you keep these numbers save on some paper you know will be safe. Don’t write your numbers in your computer (or phone) or on any internet service. This data could be easy scrapped by some malicious actor in the future. Xumm will later ask you to put those numbers again to confirm you have them written down.

Now, you have your XRP wallet created. We need one last step before being fully ready to interact with the XRP Ledger. We need to fund our account. Right now (February 2023), you need 10 XRP to fund your wallet. Without funding your wallet, you will not be able to use your account. So, you need someone send at least 10 XRP to your account. If no one can help you, you can buy some XRP in exchanges like Kraken, Bitstamp, Binance… and send it to your XUMM address. To know and copy your address you can push Request button and copy your address.
